About the Project
A Survey of Credential Holders within the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC).
Primary Research Questions
Background
In 1987 Carl Verge completed his PhD dissertation, “A Comparison of the Beliefs and Practices of Two Groups of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada Ministers: Those with a Master’s Degree and Those with Only Three Years of Bible College Training.” Verge noted that PAOC credential holders with a graduate degree held some different beliefs from those who had a diploma. In light of this, he suggested that the PAOC needed Pentecostal seminaries. The PAOC now has three seminaries (one was already in operation when Verge completed his dissertation).

Primary Research Questions
- What do PAOC credential holders believe today?
- Have the beliefs of PAOC credential holders changed over the last 30 years?
- Is there today any difference in beliefs between those whose graduate degrees have included courses at PAOC graduate institutions and those who have taken their graduate education completely at non-PAOC institutions?
